Tallow Soap

We LOVE this soap.

The Tallow process: After butchering, suet fat is taken from the Grass-Fed, Pasture Raised Cows from Full Circle Farms, Lakeview, Michigan, leaving no waste! This fat is then rendered to create Tallow to use in many products. One of them being Soap.

To create the bars of soap: Lye (Sodium Hydroxide, derived from salt water) is added to the fats and oils and heated, creating a chemical reaction called Saponification, hardening the fats and oils. 

Benefits of Tallow

- Tallow has a high percentage of Oleic acid, a well known skin conditioner. Keeping our skin nourished and moisturized but does not clog pores.

- Tallow contains vitamins A, D, E, K, and B12, contributing to skin health and appearance.

Tallow is packed with nutrients and has a similar fat saturation as our own skin, this makes it easy for our body to absorb the benefits, 

- Tallow is sustainable! Being that it is a byproduct from the Beef sold on the farm, Full Circle Farms are eliminating waste.

The Tallow is mixed with other skin loving oils, fats and therapeutic essential oils, creating a lightly lathering, fantastic smelling, skin loving bar of soap.

Oat & Honey: Tallow, Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Lard, Castor Oil, Lye, Honey, Oats for the top

Mint & Eucalyptus: Tallow, Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Lard, Castor Oil, Lye, Essential oils; Spearmint, Tea Tree, Eucalyptus

Cedarwood & Lemongrass: Tallow, Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Lard, Castor Oil, Lye, Essential oils; Cedarwood, Lemongrass
